Full season stall leases must be paid by Sunday, June 15, 2025. Full season leases will not be refunded for missed market days. These payments can be made at the Taylor Recreation Center in cash, check or debit/credit card. Daily stall rates must be paid a full week prior to market date.
Applications and contracts can be dropped off or mailed to the Taylor Recreation Center, 22805 Goddard Rd. Taylor MI 48180. Applications are subject to approval. We reserve the right to reject any vendor based on space and category.
Vendors must furnish the Taylor Made Market with a current and valid copy of any and all licenses and permits necessary for their operations. Most vendors do not need licenses, but if your business is required to have one please provide a copy with your application.
Michigan’s Cottage Food Law exempts a business from the licensing and inspection provisions of the Michigan Food Law if certain requirements are met. All Cottage Food products require labels. Please refer to MDARD’s website for additional information and requirements by scanning the QR code below:
Thank you for your interest in the Taylor Made Market
The purpose of the Taylor Made Market is to promote local growers, artists, makers and entrepreneurs. The market is to be a business incubator creating a direct producer to consumer marketplace
Guidelines: Upon acceptance to the Taylor Made Market, all vendors must abide by the following regulations:
1. All vendors must be on location and set up by 11:45 a.m.
2. Food items must have an original valid license
3. Stalls are approximately 10 x 10’ and will have at least 5’ between them
4. Vendor vehicles are PROHIBITED in the selling area. Vendors CANNOT park behind the Sheridan Pavilion. The lot on the north end of the pavilion is reserved for vendor parking.
5. Vendors must stay for the entirety of the market day. Early breakdown is by pre-arrangement with the Taylor Recreation Department only. Early breakdowns without permission may affect the ability to take part in future market events.
6. Smoking is prohibited under the Sheridan Pavilion and on the Petting Farm grounds
7. Electricity is not provided for vendors except when pre-approved by the Taylor Recreation Department
8. Product prices must be clearly posted/labeled
9. Cottage food vendors must follow Michigan Cottage Food Law regarding preparation, packaging, labeling and storage of products sold.
10. All goods for sale shall be displayed at least 6 (six) inches from the ground
11. No vendor shall refuse to permit the purchase of any produce, goods or participation based on race, religion, color, creed, gender, political affiliation, sexual orientation, national origin, sex, age, marital status, gender-identity, height, weight or mental or physical ability
12. Vendors are expected to furnish their own tables, chairs, carts and any other equipment needed to operate their booth
13. Vendor booth assignments will be made by the Taylor Recreation Department
14. Abusive, profane, threatening or harassing language or actions towards the market team, recreation staff, other market participants or market customers will not be tolerated. The Taylor Recreation Department reserves the right to deny applicants and/or remove vendors from the market due to behavior issues.
In consideration of the Taylor Made Market allowing me to use its equipment, facilities, grounds and services for the 2025 Taylor Made Market season, I agree and recognize the following: My participation is completely voluntary, and I have familiarized myself with all rules, regulations and procedures that are involved. I am aware that certain hazards, risks and dangers are inherent and present, and I acknowledge that although the Taylor Made Market and The City of Taylor have taken measures to minimize the risk of injury to me, the Taylor Made Market cannot and does not insure nor guarantee that the participants, equipment, facilities, grounds and/or activities will be free of hazards, accidents and/or injuries. I agree and recognize that my participation may result in injury or illness and that I agree to assume all risks and dangers and all responsibility for any losses, damages and injuries arising out of my participation in the Taylor Made Market, The City of Taylor, their agents and employees, officers, officials and volunteers from and against any and all claims, actions, losses, liabilities, injuries and damages, whether or not caused in whole or part by negligence and/or gross negligence. The above waiver, release and indemnity agreement has been read by me and by signing this agreement I acknowledge that I understand and agree to be bound by its terms.
