Taylor management association college scholarships available

The City of Taylor’s management association will again present annual scholarships to two deserving high school graduates from the City of Taylor.

Applications are now available at the following locations: Truman and Kennedy high school’s counseling offices and the City of Taylor Golf, Parks and Recreation Office, 22805 Goddard Road. 

Taylor Northeast Little League registers for 2007 season

The Taylor Northeast Little League will conduct 2007 baseball, softball and T-ball registration at the clubhouse from noon to 4 p.m. Saturdays, February 17 and 24 and March 3, and from 1 to 4 p.m. Sundays, February 18 and 25 and March 4. The TNE clubhouse is located on Wick Road between Mortenview and Monroe. The league also will conduct registration from 6 to 9 p.m. February 21 and 28 at Dick's Sporting Goods on Eureka Road. For boundaries, age groups, fees, other requirements and other information, call the TNE clubhouse at (313) 291-7576.

Tax payment deadline extended

The deadline for Taylor property owners to pay their taxes has been extended to February 28 by a vote of City Council. For more information, call the Treasurer's Office at (734) 374-1487. Do not call on February 14 as city offices are closed due to the snow emergency.
