City Council meetings are scheduled for 7 p.m. the first and third Tuesdays of every month at the City of Taylor Municipal Building, 23555 Goddard Road. Council study sessions are typically scheduled the day before the regular meeting at 6 p.m. In the event of a Monday holiday, the study session is usually held at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meeting information is always posted, per the Open Meetings Act.

In addition, meetings are shown live and then rebroadcast on the city's local access cable TV channels: Comcast Channel 12 and Wide Open West (WOW) Channel 10.  

The times of the cable broadcasts are:
Live at 7 o'clock the night of the meeting.
Rebroadcast at 10 a.m. the Thursday of the same week as the meeting.
Rebroadcast at 10 a.m. the Tuesday of the next week after the meeting.
Rebroadcast at 7 p.m. the Thursday of the next week after the meeting.

(Occasional special meetings are scheduled by members of the City Council. The rebroadcast schedule of special meetings typically follows the regular schedule.)
