Skate with Santa one of many events during busy holiday weekend schedule

Skate with Santa at the Sportsplex on Saturday ... if you can find the time during this fun, busy weekend in Taylor!

Skate with Santa will take place from 4:30-7 p.m. Saturday at the Sportsplex. Tickets are $5 per person, cash only, at the door. The program starts at 4:30 p.m. with a "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" and "Frosty the Snowman" on the soccer field. That will be followed by at 6 p.m. by Skating with Santa in the ice arena.

Skate with Santa is just one of several Christmas activities this weekend.

It all starts with Breakfast with Santa from 9-noon on Saturday at the Lakes of Taylor. Tickets are $10.50 per person, $5 for those under 3, and must be purchased from the Lakes Pro Shop (tickets are limited). Included is a great breakfast buffet, stories, games, photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus and a free stuffed animal for every child.

Reindeer Days begins at 11 a.m. and runs until 4 p.m. Saturday at the Heritage Park Petting Farm. Tickets are $5 per person, and a free shuttle will run from the Sheridan Center parking lot. This is your chance to see live Reindeer, meet Santa and have some hot chocolate  and cookies. Pizza available at $1 per slice.

On Sunday, Reindeer Days will continue at the Petting Farm from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Capping off the busy weekend, the Taylor Community Chorus will hold its annual holiday concert from 4-6 p.m. at the William Ford Senior Activities Center, 6750 Troy. Tickets are $8 per person at the door.
