Pardee, Goddard to undergo roadwork

The City of Taylor has contracted with Al’s Asphalt Paving to patch the asphalt road surface in the following locations:

  • Pardee Road from Superior to Northline
  • Pardee Road from Northline to Goddard
  • Goddard Road from Pardee to Allen

Sections of deteriorated asphalt road surface will be milled and removed, the base cleaned and prepped, and asphalt replaced and compacted level.

The work is scheduled to begin on Monday, April 24, 2017, and continue thru Saturday, April 29, 2017.   Al’s Asphalt Paving will be working on the streets moving in the directions of traffic with “rolling” traffic controls and partial lane closures.  There will be minor traffic delays.  Please be patient and drive carefully and slowly around the work areas.  For your own convenience, and so that the work can be performed in a safe and timely manner, plan alternate routes to avoid using these roads on these dates.

We apologize for the inconvenience this work may cause you.  The City and Al’s Asphalt will try to limit the inconvenience as best as possible.  Your cooperation in this matter will be greatly appreciated.  Should you have any questions,  contact Greg Mayhew, City Engineer, at (734) 374-1473, or by email at
