Wayne County seeks correction officers

The Wayne County Sheriff's Office is now hiring correction officers for all shifts at the Wayne County Jail.

Salaries range from $31,000 to $57,000 annually. To be eligible, you must be a U.S. citizen; 18 or older; high school diploma or GED; no felony convictions; valid driver's license and good driving record; passed Michigan Sheriffs Coordinating and Training Council exam; and passed a MSCTC physical agility test.

To be eligible, you must first apply and take a county hiring exam at either 500 Griswold, Detroit, MI, 48225 (ninth floor) or 4747 Woodward (WCSD Headquarters).

Applications are accepted 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday at the Guardian Building. Call (313) 224-5901 for test dates.
