The Local Officers Pension & Fringe Benefits Compensation Commission's purpose is to establish and recommend to the City Council any changes to the pensions and fringe benefits for the mayor, clerk, treasurer and member of the City Council.

Museum Commission
The Museum Commission desires to publicly display with dignity and respect, in the Taylor museum, the uniforms, weapons, photographs, honors, metals, equipment, personal effects, artifacts and memorabilia of those men and woman who have served in all branch of the U.S. military.

Tax Increment Finance Authority
Tax increment Financing (TIF) is a procedure that allows municipalities to “capture” the additional, or incremental, taxes from property as it increases in value. The authority manages those funds within the City of Taylor's TIFA district.

Water & Sewer Commission
The Water and Sewer Commission shall operate in matters relating to the administration, management, supervision and control of the water and sewer division of the department of public works.

Zoning Board Of Appeals
The Zoning Board of Appeals shall hear and decide questions that arise in the administration of the zoning ordinance, including the interpretation of the zoning maps, and may adopt rules to govern its procedures sitting as a Zoning Board of Appeals.
