How to Do Business Without Visiting City Hall

All City of Taylor buildings have visitor restrictions, and some remain closed to the public, per Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s March 23, 2020 executive order due to the COVID-19 pandemic. All (734) 285-6550 if you have questions. Please take note of the following:

City Hall

Open 9 a.m.-noon and 1-5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, but with capacity restrictions. You must wear a mask, sign in and follow health guidelines. You may encounter wait times outside the door. Second-floor access by appointment only. You can only enter through the Goddard Road entrance.

City Council meetings closed to the public, but live streamed on this website and cablecast on WOW and Comcast. Various other meetings may be open to the public, depending on capacity restrictions. Check with Clerk's Office for more information.

23rd District Court

Fire Stations

Department of Public Works & Compost Center

No public access to DPW building. Compost Center open to the public. For more information, call (734) 287-6550.

Taylor Community Library

Closed to general visitors, but curbside pickup for library materials is available Monday-Thursday (10 a.m.-1 p.m. & 2--6 p.m.) and Friday-Saturday (10 a.m.-1 p.m. & 2 p.m.-5 p.m.). Some other functions available by appointment. Call (734) 287-4840.

Heritage Park Petting Farm

Open with restrictions. Call (734) 374-5946 for more information.

Lakes of Taylor, Taylor Meadows, Lake House Bar & Grille and Greenside Grille and Taylor Sportsplex

Open with restrictions. 

William Ford Senior Activities Center

The center has started reopening in phases with limited programming by appointment only. For more information, call (313) 291-7740.

Taylor Recreation Center

Open 7 a.m.-8 p.m. Mondays through Fridays; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays; and noon-5 p.m. Sundays. Capacity restrictions enforced. Reservations required (please call). Animal Shelter

Generally closed, but adoptions available online. Adoption appointments done Tuesdays; dog licensing on Thursdays.
